Walk, eat, and discover the real flavors of Chengdu on this guided street food tour designed by a local. We’ll explore narrow alleys and authentic neighborhoods as we try six different snacks, learn the stories behind them, and experience a side of the city few tourists see.
You’ll taste everything from deep-fried sticky rice balls (糖油果子) to crispy guokui stuffed with pork, and experience specialties like dandan noodles, sweet water noodles, and handmade egg-baked cakes. Along the way, we’ll visit a local market where you’ll smell and taste fresh Sichuan peppercorn, try baijiu (Chinese liquor), and even sample rabbit head or roasted rabbit if you’re feeling adventurous!
We finish with a full dinner at a cozy Chengdu restaurant, sharing classic dishes like Kung Pao Chicken, Mapo Tofu, and Twice-Cooked Pork, paired with local beer and great conversation.
