Between the Mediterranean and the Alps, Nice concentrates centuries of history: Greek Nikaia, Savoy influences, Baroque churches and Belle-Époque façades along the Baie des Anges. This relaxed 3-hour walk focuses on the essentials of the French Riviera, Place Masséna, the colours and flavours of Cours Saleya, the lanes of Old Nice, and a seafront segment on the Promenade des Anglais. While climbing Castle Hill is not part of the tour (the stair ascent takes roughly half an hour), you'll skirt its base towards Port Lympia. Here, your local guide will share tales of the hill’s past, point out the best viewpoints, and provide tips for visiting later at your own pace for photos.On this tour, you can expect clear explanations and context about the Riviera and its art, cuisine, WWII and Italian heritage plus some practical tips for getting around, and a comfortable pace that allows you to truly soak up the views of the Côte d’Azur.
