What To Expect

Before your hike to Mount Ijen, please be informed that all hikers are required to present a medical certificate from a doctor, confirming that you are in good health and fit for hiking. This is a mandatory safety requirement set by the Mount Ijen authorities.
Medical Certificate Requirements:

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness. The total duration of this tour is 22 hours, with 7 hours allocated for the journey crossing from Bali to Ijen.
