In the afternoon, continue to Pompeii, one of the world’s most famous archaeological sites. With skip-the-line entry, explore the ancient streets, temples, and grand villas that were frozen in time by Mount Vesuvius’s eruption in AD 79. Wander independently through the UNESCO-listed ruins, from the grand amphitheater to the well-preserved mosaics and frescoes that reveal daily life in Ancient Rome.
