On this tour, we’ll begin by exploring the Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli, renowned for housing the chains of St. Peter and Michelangelo's awe-inspiring Tomb of Julius II, a true masterpiece of marble sculpture. Next, we’ll visit the Basilica of San Clemente, a fascinating site revealed through 19th-century excavations, where layers of history are on full display. Our journey will culminate at the Cathedral of San Giovanni in Laterano, the principal church of Rome and the world. Here, we'll also see the Scala Santa, believed to be the stairs Jesus ascended, as well as the historic Baptistery, commissioned by Emperor Constantine.
