Enter the Colosseum and walk right onto the arena floor—an area not usually accessible to the public—and learn about the harrowing events that took place here for entertainment's sake centuries ago. Spend a full hour exploring the rest of the Colosseum, from the ground floor up to the second tier, where you can see the Roman Forum from a distance before making your way across to Palatine Hill. You'll listen to your guide rebuild ancient Rome from the ground up through captivating stories. Hear tales of war, politics, and betrayal, and get introduced to some of the ancient world's larger-than-life characters as you roam around the markets, roads, and temples where the empire's citizens once lived, played, and prayed.

Not allowed:
- Large bags are not allowed inside the Colosseum as there are no storage facilities
Know in advance:
- The full names of all participants must be provided at the time of booking and must match the names on the ID/Passport. Name changes are not permitted
- Headsets are available for groups of over 6 people
- Note that for the 9am tour only you'll join a small group of maximum 8 guests for an intimate and personalised journey through time
- The Colosseum is subject to occasional closures. If modifications are needed and time permits, the local tour operator will reach out to you prior to your tour. For last-minute closures, modifications may be communicated at the tour starting time
- Walks is an Official Parco Archeologico del Colosseo Operator approved to lead guided tours of the Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill.
Remember to bring:
- A government-issued ID or passport for every participant (including children). Failure to bring an ID can result in the security staff refusing your access to the monument
