Despite its small size, Arusha National Park is home to a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, buffalo, zebras, warthogs, black-and-white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, flamingos, and more. While African elephants and leopards inhabit the park, they are rarely spotted. Nestled at the base of Mount Meru, the park also serves as a great starting point for climbing adventures.
The park boasts diverse habitats, including lush forests that provide sanctuary to the black-and-white colobus monkey and an abundance of birdlife, making it an excellent destination for birdwatching. However, Arusha National Park is often overlooked in traditional safari itineraries due to the absence of the Big Five, despite its accessibility and rich biodiversity.
