Welcome to Buford Highway AKA the DeKalb International Corridor AKA Chambodia! The neighborhoods and cities along BuHi have transformed over the past half-century into an incredibly diverse area, which is reflected in the sheer variety and volume of global restaurants, bakeries, and farmers' markets.
On this trip, we'll start with a bite at Cuzco for phenomenal Peruvian flavors. We'll continue with several more Asian and Latin restaurants before finishing with a sweet treat at a contemporary Korean-French bakery, White Windmill. All dishes have been carefully curated to be emblematic of their countries of origin, while still being completely at home here in Georgia. Restaurants we'll visit include mom-and-pop shops as well as Michelin Guide selections, some set in strip malls and some free-standing.
Come hungry, but pace yourself. It's a lot of food!! Feel free to take leftovers home with you. I'll have a cooler available just for that purpose.
Service animals allowed. Public transportation options are available nearby. Suitable for all physical fitness levels. The restaurants we visit are all wheelchair accessible, but my minivan is not adapted. However, if a guest has a fold-up wheelchair and can get themselves in and out of it solo or with assistance from me and/or their friends, we can make it work!. Restaurants only serve alcoholic drinks for travelers 21 years old and above. Minor travelers below 21 years old will be served non-alcoholic drinks.
Meet in front of Steak Market bar and grill on Juniper Street in Midtown.
